چکیده

H(⊗1 C+) denotes the Hardy space of square integrable functions analytic in each variable separately. Let P be the natural projection of L(⊗1 C+) onto H (⊗1 C+). A Hankel operator with symbol b is the linear operator from H(⊗1 C+) to H (⊗1 C+) given by Hb φ = P⊖bφ. We show that ‖Hb‖ ≃ ‖P b‖BMO(⊗n 1 C+) , where the right hand norm is S.-Y. Chang and R. Fefferman product BMO. This fact has well known equivalences in terms of commutators and the weak factorization of H(⊗1 C+). In the case of two complex variables, this is due to Ferguson and Lacey [8]. While the current proof is inductive, and one can take the one complex variable case as the basis step, it is heavily influenced by the methods of Ferguson and Lacey. The induction is carried out with a particular form of a lemma due to Journé [10], which occurs implicitly in the work of J. Pipher [13].

Remarks on Product VMO

Well known results related to the compactness of Hankel operators of one complex variable are extended to little Hankel operators of two complex variables. Critical to these considerations is the result of Ferguson and Lacey [5] characterizing the boundedness of the little Hankel operators in terms of the product BMO of S.-Y. Chang and R. Fefferman [2,3].

Two Distinguished Subspaces of Product Bmo and the Nehari–aak Theory for Hankel Operators on the Torus

In this paper we show that the theory of Hankel operators in the torus T , for d > 1, presents striking differences with that on the circle T, starting with bounded Hankel operators with no bounded symbols. Such differences are circumvented here by replacing the space of symbols L∞(T) by BMOr(T), a subspace of product BMO, and the singular numbers of Hankel operators by so-called sigma numbers....

Weighted Bmo and Hankel Operators between Bergman Spaces

We introduce a family of weighted BMO spaces in the Bergman metric on the unit ball of C and use them to characterize complex functions f such that the big Hankel operators Hf and Hf̄ are both bounded or compact from a weighted Bergman space into a weighted Lesbegue space with possibly different exponents and different weights. As a consequence, when the symbol function f is holomorphic, we char...

BMO ON STRONGLY PSEUDOCONVEX DOMAINS: HANKEL OPERATORS, DUALITY AND a-ESTIMATES

We study the condition that characterizes the symbols of bounded Hankel operators on the Bergman space of a strongly pseudoconvex domain and show that it is equivalent to BMO plus analytic. (Here we mean the Bergman metric BMO of Berger, Coburn and Zhu.) In the course of the proof we obtain new d -estimates that may be of independent interest. Some applications include a decomposition of BMO si...
